Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the entire Image Toolroom website and its tools. It explains how files are processed, what information may leave your browser, what information may be stored, and which supporting services are used to operate, analyze, protect and monetize the website.

Image Toolroom is designed so that its image-processing tools run locally in your browser whenever the tool is described as browser-based or local. This includes operations such as image compression, resizing, conversion, cropping, metadata removal, OCR, background processing, profile-photo formatting and similar image utilities available on the site.

For these tools, the image or file you select is processed on your device and does not need to be uploaded to an Image Toolroom server for the normal processing operation to work. Generated outputs remain on your device unless you choose to save, share or otherwise transmit them yourself.

Some tools may load application code, WebAssembly modules, format libraries, fonts, OCR language data, machine-learning models or other technical resources needed to perform processing in the browser. Loading those resources does not mean that your selected image or file is being uploaded to Image Toolroom.

During normal use of the browser-based image tools, Image Toolroom does not intentionally collect or store the images you open, the processed image output, original filenames, embedded image metadata, OCR text extracted from an image, QR-code content you enter, crop selections, resize settings or other image contents solely because you use a tool.

Do not assume that downloading, saving or sharing a processed result through your own browser or another service is covered by this policy. Once you send a file to another website, application or person, that destination may apply its own privacy practices.

The Feedback feature is different from the local image tools because information you intentionally submit through the feedback form is sent to the Image Toolroom server for review.

A feedback submission may include the feedback category, your message, the current page path and page title. You may optionally provide an email address and explicitly allow Image Toolroom to contact you about the submission.

If you enter an email address but do not allow contact, the feedback endpoint discards that email address instead of storing it in the feedback database.

Images, files and processed results from the image tools are not attached to feedback submissions. Do not put passwords, payment information, identity documents, confidential business data or other sensitive information in the feedback message.

Feedback is used to identify bugs, confusing workflows, useful feature requests, ideas for new tools and parts of the website that users find valuable. If you explicitly allow contact, the email address you provide may also be used to reply about that feedback.

Image Toolroom uses Cloudflare infrastructure for website delivery, hosting, security and abuse prevention. Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP address, browser or device information, request headers and security signals as part of providing those services.

The Feedback form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce automated spam and abuse. The feedback endpoint may pass technical request information to Turnstile for validation, but the Image Toolroom feedback database is not designed to store your IP address as a feedback field.

Image Toolroom uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic, page usage and real-user performance. This may include information such as page views, referrers, browser or device characteristics, approximate geographic information and performance metrics.

Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to provide website analytics without using cookies or localStorage to identify individual visitors. It is used to understand overall website usage and performance rather than to build individual advertising profiles.

Image Toolroom uses Google AdSense to support the website with advertising. AdSense may not be active on every page, in every region or for every visitor at all times.

When Google advertising services are active, your browser may send information to Google and participating advertising technology providers. Depending on your region, consent choices and the type of ad being served, this information may include the page URL, IP address, browser or device information, advertising identifiers, cookie or local-storage information, approximate location and information used for ad delivery, measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention and security.

Personalized ads may use information associated with your activity, interests or previous visits where permitted and where the required consent has been obtained. Non-personalized ads do not use past behavior for ad personalization, but may still use contextual information, approximate location and cookies or similar identifiers for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security and fraud prevention where permitted.

For eligible users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Image Toolroom uses Google's consent management platform (CMP) and European regulations message to request and record advertising-related consent choices.

The consent message may allow you to consent, decline consent or manage individual purposes and advertising partners. Where applicable, participating vendors may rely on consent or legitimate interest as described in the CMP's detailed options. You can review and change available choices through the privacy controls shown by the CMP.

Image Toolroom uses Google's CMP because Google requires a certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework when personalized ads are served to users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland.

The core image-processing tools do not require you to create an account and do not require advertising cookies in order to perform local image processing.

Advertising services may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies for ad delivery, personalization where permitted, frequency capping, measurement, security and fraud prevention. In regions where consent is required, these technologies and related processing are controlled by the consent choices presented through the CMP.

Security, hosting and browser functionality may also use necessary technical storage or similar mechanisms independently of advertising consent where permitted.

Files processed locally by the browser-based tools are not stored in the Image Toolroom feedback database.

Accepted feedback may be stored so submissions can be reviewed, grouped and tracked as new, reviewed, planned, implemented or rejected. Optional contact information is stored only when you explicitly allow contact.

Feedback and optional contact information may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to review the submission, improve the service, maintain a useful product history or complete related correspondence. No fixed automatic deletion period is currently configured for feedback records.

Information processed by Cloudflare, Google or advertising technology providers is subject to those providers' own retention policies and legal obligations.

Image Toolroom does not sell personal information submitted through its local image tools or Feedback form.

Information may be processed by service providers and advertising partners, including Cloudflare and Google, where this is necessary to operate, secure, analyze, deliver or monetize the website. Advertising-related data may also be processed by the advertising technology providers listed in the consent message, subject to your applicable consent choices and those providers' privacy practices.

You can use Image Toolroom's local tools without providing an email address or creating an account. Providing feedback is optional, and providing contact information with feedback is also optional.

Where a Google consent message is shown, you can use it to consent, decline consent or manage available advertising and data processing options. Google also provides advertising controls through My Ad Center.

You can use the site's Feedback form and choose "Other" if you need to make a privacy-related request. If the request concerns a previous feedback submission, provide enough non-sensitive information to identify the submission or the email address you used.

Image Toolroom does not intentionally ask users of its image tools to provide age information, and the tools are not designed to collect personal information from children. Users should not submit personal or sensitive information about a child through the Feedback form.

Image Toolroom may link to external websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not control how those third parties collect or use information after you leave Image Toolroom.

This policy may be updated when Image Toolroom adds or changes tools, analytics, advertising, consent technologies, account features or other functionality that changes how information is handled. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
